Statistics indicate that 75% of kids will quit organized sports by the age of 13. Two of the most frequent answers as to why are: lack of fun and didn’t like the coach.
Bill has spent the last 20+ years coaching, officiating, administrating, writing and developing educational programs for volunteer coaches. Prior to that Bill was a high school teacher/coach for several years and brought that experience to the youth level and quickly saw that there was a big difference between what he did as a professional teacher/coach and what he saw at the volunteer level.
As a result Bill developed his program "Coaching to Make a Positive Difference", and has taught over 16,000 volunteer coaches and has received extraordinarily positive responses from both the associations and the coaches. Bill’s program has not only changed thousands of coaches’ approach to coaching, but in doing so created much better sporting experiences for our kids, their parents, our coaches and our associations.
The results have been extraordinary! Bill has literally thousands of responses which use such words and phrases as "engaging", "informative", "entertaining", "awesome", "life changing", “can’t wait for the season to begin”, “I will be a better parent because of this training” and it goes on and on.
Bill’s training is a unique perspective on youth coaching and every volunteer coach should have this training along with any sport specific training prior to working with our kids. Organization administrators, act now and click on that “Red Button”.
"Bill is a great communicator and has great experience in this field."
